BEng (Hons)

School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment

Overview :

This cutting-edge programme addresses the critical global need for experts who can protect digital assets and investigate cybercrime. Through the foundation pathway at Capital Universities Foundation in Egypt, students develop a deep understanding of network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, and cyber law. The course combines technical rigour with practical investigation techniques, teaching students how to secure systems from malicious attacks, identify vulnerabilities, and conduct detailed forensic analysis to uncover and document digital evidence for legal proceedings.

Academic Themes

Network Security and Defence

Implementing security architectures, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect network infrastructure from rganization access and attacks.

Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing

Legally and safely probing systems for vulnerabilities, simulating cyber-attacks to assess security posture and recommend strengthening measures.

Digital Forensics Investigation

Acquiring, analysing, and preserving digital evidence from devices such as computers, smartphones, and storage media in a forensically sound manner for use in legal cases
