Mechanical Engineering – Copy

BEng (Hons)

School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment

Overview :

This accredited programme provides a solid foundation in the principles and applications of mechanical engineering, preparing students for a dynamic global career. Through the pathway at Capital Universities Foundation in Egypt, students will engage with core concepts of design, thermodynamics, materials science, and mechanics. The curriculum blends theoretical analysis with practical, project-based learning, fostering the problem-solving and innovative skills required to design, develop, and manage mechanical systems in industries such as automotive, aerospace, energy, and manufacturing.

Academic Themes

Engineering Design and Solid Mechanics:

Applying principles of mechanics and computer-aided design (CAD) to create, analyse, and improve mechanical components and systems.

Materials Science and Manufacturing Processes

Evaluating the properties and selection of engineering materials and understanding modern manufacturing techniques,

Thermofluids and Energy Systems

Understanding the behaviour of liquids and gases (fluids) and the principles of thermodynamics to design efficient energy conversion, propulsion, and HVAC systems.

Dynamic Systems and Control

Analysing the motion and vibration of mechanical systems and designing control systems to ensure they operate safely, accurately, and efficiently.
